I recieved my delxe set yesterday. This is what has changed (from what I
can tell):

The club car seems to be just like original. There are curves, not
diagonal lines on the preprinted parts.

The metroliner has undergone a few changes. The hair has changed, the
small windows are clear cyan, not transparent white. The small train
doors are preprinted, but the larger ones require stickers. The sticker
for the station (displaying when trains arrive) has changed as well,
compared to the stickers shown on the box.

While I feel happy for owning such a great set, I feel disappointed at
the same time.

Why did they change the set?

Is it because people suddenly realised that the original sets weren't
going to be worth as much when the re-release came out? Was I really the
only one who realised that, long before LEGO even announced their
"Legend" series? I don't think I was.

So why did they change the sets? I think LEGO at least could have put up
a note on  the webpage, telling us which things had changed. What's
next? Green classic space astronauts for the Galaxy Explorer?

bad for a back-ordered set.

My apologies if somebody has already posted this, but my sets only arrived
today.

10002 has the same pieces as the original, 4547, including the printed
pieces.
The only difference being in the packaging and a mis-print in the
instructions, which necessitated a loose page being inserted in the outer
delivery box.

There are a few differences between 10001 and 4558, as far as I can tell
from the instructions.
(I had to leave the box of parts at work, due to my wife not knowing about
it yet. She'll probably find out eventually, but I'd prefer her not to know
for now. :-O)
The hair on the girl with the red necklace has changed to a ponytail, from a
small tuft on each side of her hair, in the original.
The doors with windows are printed, as in the original, but the other large
doors look as if they now require stickers to be applied. (I can't check at
the moment, having left the sticker sheets at work too.)

I didn't notice any other differences.
