(...) Almost:-) If you use the *tall* 1x2x5 or even better, the 1x3x5, and alternate with the 1x1x5, you avoid the distracting cross lines and the verticals are fairly prominent. I'll see if I can get some pics up of what I am talking about (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) John, Are you saying that stacking 1x2 bricks atop each other to make a wall will imply an offset because the gap between the adjacent bricks suggests a shadow and thus an offset? Chris P.S.
