  distribution of show money

Hello again experienced train heads: Two months after our (NALUG) first train show we have received a cheque for almost $350 canadian. This was totally unexpected, they didn't even give us a hint that they would pay, let alone give us a formula for (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains.org)

Potential Group photo of trains (was:Re: New Train fellow at The BrickShelf)

(...) I've kept most of the train I've built. Some of the trains built 3 or so years ago have been disassembled. For the Amtrak Cascades I had to take "steal" from two of my green three-axle passenger cars. I needed more black train windows and (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

  New numbers - 45XX out?

When I looked at the 2001 catalog, I noticed the use of the numbers 4567 and upwards. (URL) does support rumors of something new later on, like 2002, with new numbers. We will see.... Sonnich (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Train fellow at The BrickShelf

(...) James, you are *way* too modest! Just remember, "there is nothing new under the sun". Of course it is your creation, unless you are following printed instructions (*that* would be MOI); whether it is based on reality or not is, as Seven would (...)   Re: New Train fellow at The BrickShelf

(...) Thanks, but the color scheme is just an imitation. I think the color scheme is nice, too, but we must acknowledge whoever works for Amtrak. This brings up the point of MOC's. The more I build LEGO models of "real-life" trains, the more I (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Perpetual Duplo Motion

Heh- sorry about the wide distribution, but this fits into a lot of categories. I have a new creation up on my site, a device for defeating the timer on the Duplo battery trains. This uses Duplo Trains, Technic, and a critical Znap part. I call it (...) (...) Hey that is nice, I hadn't seen that one yet. Very nice work James, I didn't even think it was LEGO at first. Love the color scheme. jt (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: YATTTE - Yet Another Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) Interesting point, Kevin. I know that those are separate pieces, and I know that external cylinders are not shown on models of Thomas, but I had just assumed that this was due to lack of detail. Are you saying that it is prototypical for (...) (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.trains)
