(...) more (...) Mine is complete :)...and I have had it since I was 5-6 years old. (mind you, I haven't had it together for quite a while...I just know I have all the bits to go with it...except the black frame plate has a 2nd one glued on top, (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) 7760, (...) Gah gah gah... people willing to deface 7710 doors? I guess since blue doors are just plain hard to find, I can understand this. I know I'd love to get more 7710 doors (I've got one set of doors and windows and a few other parts (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.general)

Re: Aztecland internet controlled LEGO train

(...) I just tried it. It worked ok for me. Still, it is kind of boring even when it is working. You could simulate this with out too much trouble and no one would know the difference. Steve (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Windows

(...) The 7710 Push Train contains blue doors with yellow bottom. The base color is blue, though, so if you know how to remove paint you can get a pair of blue doors out of these (I would never do this with a good pair of doors, but I do have one (...)   Re: GMLTC at GATS?

(...) No GMLTC @ GATS this year. We're in the process of dismantling our current layout, and sketching plans for the next layout. We probably won't start construction for another month or so, since we've still got a LOT of sorting to do! Our (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train Windows

(...) Is there anyway to get these without that ridiculous soccerball/football? I have no use whatsoever for them, but they seem to have added about $8 to the price. Dave! (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.general)

  GMLTC at GATS?

Does anyone know if there will be any Lego train stuff at GATS in St. Paul MN this weekend? I seem to recall that the GMLTC might be 'between layouts' right now - is this still true? (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Four black train doors - 5542 Black Thunder Model Team Helicopter 1998 - still available? One red train door - 5571 Gian Truck/'Black Cat' 1996 - still available? Two white train doors - 5561 Big Foot 4x4 1997 - still available? These are the (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.general)

  Re: Weekend work, gauntlet track

This is the first time I've noticed the unique coupler design. Chain driven with selected gear ratio- very clever! I love it. Took the time to download the movie- It's a "block-buster"! ;-) Thanks! later, James Mathis (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Train Windows

Hello fellow Lugnetters I have recently been looking at the new soccer/football sets; the team busses. Set numbers 3404, 3405, 3406, 3407 These sets each have 7 train windows & are therefore great for parts. What do people think of these sets for (...)   Weekend work, gauntlet track

Hey all, Here's some pics of what we've been up to this weekend. Tom Cook, Jennifer and I were thinking of how to share a single line of track (like a bridge, say) with multiple trains... We came up with this solution, that allows a span of track to (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains) !!

  Re: monorail follies

(...) If you are willing to only run the train in one direction, the trick would be to push one car and tow three. Of course it puts the motor off center which will look funny (but then, to some extent, in any more than two car train, the motor will (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

In lugnet.trains, Cary Clark writes: <snipped construction comments> (...) I really like your idea of the hinge-panels to cover the monorail motor. Coverings to the monorail motor are a very challenging task. Good idea. I'd never thought of turning (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Are the new Duplo trains a sign?

I really like the new fronts on these trains, I wonder if they could be incorporated into a LEGO train? Of course they would have to be a bit wider than 6wide, hmmmm how wide would they be....   Re: Are the new Duplo trains a sign?

(...) That would be great and that is my hope as well. My fear is that the mediocrity of recent 9 volt set designs reflects just the opposite. I see no vision, no master plan, no desire other than to put out junk. But even the *junkiest* set would (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.lego.direct)

Are the new Duplo trains a sign?

Well, I saw the duplo freight train ( (URL) ) in the S@H catalogue, but today I saw the new Duplo passenger train ( (URL) ) in TRU. I was impressed by the freight train, and I am equally impressed by the passenger train. So, a thought pops into my (...) (24 years ago, 1-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  monorail follies

Inspired by Mike Walsh and others, I decided to make a four car monorail. I left my Airport Shuttle alone -- which turned out to be a really good idea -- and created a clone in black with a yellow stripe, dictated mostly by the color of my available (...)
