(...) Yes, contest means you're up against the other layouts to win the crowd pleaser award (which is easy for us) or one of the others (much harder). Just make sure to add in a powered door if you cut a hole in the wall - otherwise, you'll get too much sound transmission between the rooms. You can do it all Lego with a Mindstorm brick, or just be lazy and use a switch, timed relay, and Lego (...) (24 years ago, 27-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

I received the information packet in the mail yesterday and I have a couple of questions for those of you who have done this before. Can someone articulate what "Contest (...)
