A wonderful idea - I cannot wait to see your pics. If you can make a reasonable representation of a complicated prototype using fixed ABS elements, I won't be moaning about the cab windows! Jon (...) one (...) (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Midsouth Lego Train Club get together

We have just received a copy of the PNLTC record event and wondered if anyone would like to join club members in a viewing. LMK and we can work on setting a time and place. Matthew Greene (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  12-axle depressed center flatcar

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on my large flatcar (I made a mistake clling it a schnabel). Deciding whether to put one of those little 'shacks' on one end though. And finding a suitable load for this will take some time, I'll keep (...) (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Site update

(...) Thanks- and though I'm not usually a big fan of raytraced models, I've always liked yours. The APC is particularly cool, and I'd love to see some of those mecha "in the flesh". (...)   Re: ItLUG wagon

(...) days. (...) Thanks a lot,Ben. The offset is exactly 1/5 stud, that is the difference between height and lenght of a 1x1x1 brick, but also the distance of a stud from the side of a 1xn brick.   Re: Rhombic pantographs

(...) Here's my version: (URL) fairly bulky, but it is fully hinged, pure unmodified Lego, and since I use it on a fairly bulky locomotive I think it looks fine. :) Steve (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: ItLUG wagon

This is one of the finest examples of a box car I've seen yet. There is an approximately 1/6 stud offset on the side panels and sloped roof that gives an amount of relieve that is really impressive. I leave it to Gianluca to elaborate on his (...) (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Class 24/5 type DE

I've been obsessing over something to pull my hopper cars with (you know, the nice big Tyne Dock ones!)...and came up with the fact that it was class 2 diesel's that replaced the steamers pulling them. So, I've started making 2 class 24 (or (...) (24 years ago, 8-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Rhombic pantographs

(...) In the US it's commonly called a "shoe" as in pantograph shoe. I agree, a rhombic panto that is symmetrical AND dainty will be tough. Very tough. (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Wow, that was fast. Thanks very much for the helpful comments and suggestions. I just went through the manual and it looks like all the more uncommon pieces are here, as are the extra 2x2x6 windows, so I don't think we have a problem. Thanks, folks! (...)   3225 Classic Train question

Hi everyone, I just got a 3225 Classic Train in an eBay auction. It was supposed to be MISB as a present to my nephew, but arrived with one of the seals broken. The bags (2 large, 3 medium, 1 small) are still sealed and a couple of loose pieces (2 (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Rhombic pantographs

Hi Guys, I was reading your thread and had a thought. What if your took Ben's idea, aligned the hinges so they are symmetrical and then insert two pneumatic "T"'s (on each side) into the tubing. The "T" would be rotated so that it was an up- (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Rhombic pantographs

Hi all,did anyone ever succeed in realizing a rhombic pantograph? I mean, that also moves up and down... Lego ,in early 80s made these pantographs using plates,on 7740. (URL) course they were static, but they were so similar to real ones .... I also (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)
