Re: What did you guys pay for it??? Estonia?, better not be!

THAT IS NOT FUNNY. I was actually in Southern Estonia last summer, and saw a lego outlet type place, and after some discussion it was decided to keep walking onwards to the center of the town. Are you telling me there was a metroliner on it's shelf (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Sponsorships (was: WWLTA)

(...) Oh, I'll take this bait: LEGO paid about 80% of the costs to get the GMLTC and our layout out to Carlsbad. That's it. That's *every* "sponsorship" deal the GMLTC has ever received. We lose money on every show we do, even the occasional show (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org)

(...) track cleaning car? This car uses a brass roller wrapped in handi-wipe material and wetted with a citrus cleaner called Goo-Gone. I had thought about developing a LEGO version myself. The problem here would be that the roller needs plenty of (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Container size and new MOC's

(...) Ooh, that looks like it is much sturdier than mine. I think I'll try it your way. Thanks, Chris (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Container size and new MOC's

Well, even though I said I wouldn't be making any rolling stock for a while, I made some anyway. I made a flat bed with a truck trailer on it and a box car. The highlights are that both the box car and the trailer have makeshift working doors. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Cleaning LEGO track

Sounds like a great pruduct, but what i've always aimed for was a train that could tug a track cleaner as the last car possibly, and using ONLY lego pieces clean the tracks, i finally got some street cleaner parts level with the track, but they just (...) I've been using a product called Rail-Zip to clean my track. Besides cleaning, it also improves conductivity without harming the plastic track itself. Pacer Technology manufactures this and you should find these at any well-stocked hobby shop. They (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

What did you guys pay for it???

I hope this doesn't belong in the market place! I'm sorry if it's off topic for this section, i don't know. I'm in the process of building a lego town, with a big train line circling it, actually 3 train lines. The next step in my layout design, (...) (24 years ago, 5-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)
