  Re: New MOC: Funicular Preview

Cool. Make two (they usually work with two for counterbalancing) and make it operational. "James Mathis" <thakius@nmt.edu> wrote in message news:G00KBM.JHM@lugnet.com... (...) It's not a proper name.   Re: Wheel Car

Chris, Nice wheel car. What's the red panel? Needs more wheels. Did you damage the wheelset or sideframes when you separated them? "Christopher Tracey" <ctracey@envirolink.org> wrote in message news:39A87BC1.C07748...ink.org... (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  New MOC: Funicular Preview

This is a very preliminary design study of a funicular (proper name?). It is a somewhat parallogram-ish single passenger car for going up a very steep and straight incline (mountain). I'm pretty excited about it, mostly because my wife may get (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Cargo Sprinter cab window alternate

I've posted a picture of an alternate window styling for the Cargo Sprinter cab window. Photo shows side-by-side comparison of "old" and "new" stylings. Care to express an opinion as to which you like better? I like the "new" styling for two (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Roof parts for 7740 available in other sets?

  Re: New MOC: Cargo Sprinter

Very nice model. I don't know much about Euro Trains, but I think you captured the prototype very well. "James Mathis" <thakius@nmt.edu> wrote in message news:FzvEyn.Ipv@lugnet.com... (...) container (...) in (...) control (...) type (...) color (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

Container Width (was Re: New MOC: Cargo Sprinter)

Containers are not as wide as trains! Sure, they are close, but with trains being 10' wide, represented as 6 studs, then an 8' wide container should be 4.8 studs wide. If you round it to the nearest stud, then it would be 5 wide by 12long for an HCL (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Wheel Car

(...) cars (...) What mistake is that, James? It's a friction pin... there is no positive engagement mechanism holding the truck to the car, except gravity. IIRC you tried to call me on this so called mistake once before, give it up. I don't make (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Old #755 switches remote?

(...) In fact you are right: 755 was just a pair of manual points and there was no way to upgrade them to remote controlled points. And indeed 753 and 754 have been automatic points. They have been operated by switches which were connected to the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)
