  Re: My new diesel electric

Yes, the back of the engine is eight studs wide. I ran 2x8 and 2x? plates along the sides so I could attach the rail. There may be a way to attach the rail without going 8 wide, but I haven't had any clearance problems (train station 2150 and the (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: My new diesel electric

(...) Going WIDE. Is the diesel electric wider than 7 studs across for the length of the technic axel railing? Nice job. Off-topic, I like the way the fence piece is used at an angle on the under side of the trolley. Neat effect. later, James Mathis (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Slag Car: more detailed images

I know your slag car isn't new but I never commented on until now-- James, that is damn good model building! And creative, too. I like the way you are concerned with detail and copying the prototype as faithfully as possible, whether it be loco or (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Yet another PNTLC event

LOL! That is some good humor. My suggestion would be to name him "Bill", as in "Mr. Bill", the old "Saturday Night" clay figure. Hey Mister Bill, be careful crossing the street now. Okay, Mr. Hand. What's this? Sluggo just got his driver's license (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Railroad Dilemma

(...) I suspect the short would happen even if the two controllers have the same polarity, but are set to different speeds. I'm guessing it's the voltage they put out which increases as you up the speed. If that's the case and you have the (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Railroad Dilemma

On this topic, has anyone ever tried cutting a bit out of the metal in one of the rails (just on one side) to stop a reversing loop from causing a short? I've been wondering about doing that, and wondering how difficult it is. Simon (URL)Track (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  My new diesel electric

One again I have not tried to make a specific model of diesel electric; I just tried to make something that looks like a diesel electric. I have used some ideas from other models, but I have added a 7 stud wide cab, and a technic axel railing. (URL) (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Yet another PNTLC event

John, LEGO Man has been spotted again and apparently he doesn't need a hospital just a little first aid.... (URL) It is kinda train related because the truck is driven by a train motor beneath the road and a magnet attached to the truck. (...) (26 years ago, 25-Feb-99, to lugnet.trains)
