Re: Speculation: Monorail, Disney, Past Coincidence?

(...) But if I understand TLG's reasoning correctly, the act of publishing your own ideas would make those ideas unusable by TLG. Something to do with copyrights and such? So maybe you would be better off _not_ publishing all those great ideas, and (...) (26 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Speculation: Monorail, Disney, Past Coincidence?

If we suppose that Disney and (for our purposes) TLG are monitoring sites on the net such as James' webpage, I think we (trainiacs) should come up with some sort of top 10 or 20 list to make known beyond a doubt what TLG can produce which will (...) (26 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4559 works with 7835?

(...) Due to a shortage of 12V motors, I eventually made all my locomotives 9V. But I have set up the 7866 remote controlled crossing on my layout, as well as a more modern looking level crossing, without the swinging arms, but with the blinking (...) (26 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Railroad 2-man pushcar?

(...) Hi I have made a motorized version of a 'handcar'. I used Will Chapmans minibattery and micromotor trick. It doesn't move very quickly, but it is neat to see the arm rock up and down as it moves along! Michel Magnan (26 years ago, 18-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Web Page Update

Thank you Larry. True, I used over 100 2x2 black rounds and lots (probably 100) 2 & 3 hinge fingers. As for the burps, I've probably got about 400 total (about 120 or so in that particular model) and always looking for more. I'm expanding the (...) (26 years ago, 16-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Web Page Update

That is a very very kickbutt bridge and the overall scene shows what is possible to achieve. But the quantities required to do a whole layout fully scenic-ed boggle the mind. Nice work, nice work indeed. (...) (26 years ago, 16-Jan-99, to lugnet.trains)
