  Class 91 Interceity 225

After its debut at the Piece by Piece show at Petersfield in the UK today, I have a few photos of my Intercity 225.   Re: The Polar Express

(...) Glad those instructions could be of help. I think James had more of a hand in that particular snotwork than I did though. (...) Good to hear. (...) Even better to hear. Tim (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Polar Express

(...) Dear Anthony, I think this is one of the most spectaculiar MOCs I have seen here for quite a while! I love especially the interieur done on the cars. Leg Godt! Ben (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Polar Express

(...) Well I certainly hope I haven't stopped you from going forward with your MOC. It was an exceptionally fun build, and a great learning experience. I plan on including many of the characters in the movie, including the hobo. However, I think for (...) (18 years ago, 8-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Polar Express

(...) Thanks much! Coming from you, I consider this high praise. In fact, it was your instructions on the mod to the Santa Fe Observation Car that gave me the means to attach via SNOT the red light atop my own observation car. So... thanks for the (...)   Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) Hi Gary, I'd really encourage you guys to voice this information to ILTCO, or at (URL) - if TLC don't hear it, they can't take it into account when making their decision. And it appears their deadline is not far off. ROSCO (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: rebeco

(...) right! i forgot to say one thing in my previous post. There is another factor: 4) The yellow lever in the switch can be in to positions - it can have the handle to one side or to the other side... daniel (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: rebeco

(...) Having thought about it a bit more I think I understand how it works. The locomotive makes use of the fact that Lego points are sprung and allow travel from the 'wrong road' in a trailing direction. Jason has in fact posted a bit about his (...)   Re: The Polar Express

(...) I specifically took tons of pictures and dowloaded a bunch because I wanted to do the same thing, you beat me to it and what a wonderful job! I really love your train, but dont forget the guy on top with his little fire and bucket =) Tiffeny (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Polar Express

(...) Wow! Excellent work for a first(ish?) train. Feel free to leave the evil castleland and make more trains ;) The only thing I'd improve on it would be to make it six-wide :P Seriously though, you've got a great design with a (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  The Polar Express

(3 URLs) Post Mod Gallery> Here is my finished MOC of the Polar Express. I plan to populate it with minifigs, but that will come later when my bank account recovers. The train is based off of the Movie "The Polar Express" (duh) and the real (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX) !!

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

(...) I agree. If ILTCO is going to be the channel we want it to be, this information should have been posted there as well as here. Maybe even an article there and just a link to the article here. ROSCO (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 9v Update (ILTCO's involvment)

I hear some of you saying that there are certain expectations of ILTCO that aren't being met. I also assume that you might be picking up on my frustration but it isn't pointed at any one person. So let me try to explain how I see ILTCO helping the (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: rebeco

(...) thanks, Tim. i'm not sure if i understood your question. The switching can be done in different positions: 1) The locomotive can be faced to one direction or the other. 2) Depending on the position of the switch when the locomotive enters, it (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Coal Car

(...) More-or-less. It's not quite centered, but it's not off enough to really be noticeable. I would esitmate that it's about 1/10th of a stud. Pitsco has the plates with rails, but I've found Bricklink to be cheaper. -Duane (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: rebeco

I have to say I really like the ideas in this. Having seen Jason Railton's automation recently and having been considereing technic solutions for train things any overlap of the two is good in my book. Just one thing tho, the video of the (...)   Re: Coal Car

(...) Very nice! I can see putting my many 'yoda lips' into service and building some in sand green. New kind of lip service. . . . Question: It is a little difficult to tell if it is centered on the bottom plate. The body is built sideways, but, is (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) "My name is Rich, and I'm a LEGO lurker." How about ILTCO asking LEGO to throw us all a bone by offering one of those ILTCO only catalog codes that gives some great discount on some set(s) like they've done in the past? This would be a quick (...) (18 years ago, 6-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)
