(...) Those are 2x2 5h girders. They were available in black in 6444 Outback Airstrip, (URL) in red in 1682 Space Shuttle (URL) think 1682 has 8 of them. Conan has a shoebox sized bin about 1/2 full of the red ones. He parted out a LOT of 1682s. (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Hi again, I heard somewhere that one should never ask a question that one is not prepared to answer oneself. So I took up my own challenge and, built a decoupler as well. Mine is 6 studs wide (facing the track) by 14 studs long (perpendicular to (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Well, of course normally I wouldn't use them (slides), but... hopefully they will turn out well enough to use for an article I'm going to write about the GMLTC for Model Railroader Magazine. Pardon me for butting in here, but... (...) Slides? slides? How old *are* you John? My uncle showed me slides 20 years ago. They worked good for a room of people. The room has gotten much bigger, John. Splurge and get one of those nifty digital (...) (25 years ago, 7-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  UK TRU Overpriced (was: Train prices)
 
TRU appears to charge full TLG UK prices. Allegedly (according to Toy Stack), TLG has various price structures: Hamleys (which supposedly owns Toy Stack) is instructed to charge the highest prices, while (I guess that) TRU are up there too.
