(...) Tim, There really isn't a rule for the length of the track since each club could be dealing with different space requirements. The track we use is 15' approx 35 pieces of track for each side. jt (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Train Station Update - Less than 2 Weeks to go before Grand Rapids Michigan GATS Show!

To All, I decided to post on my continuing project to build a 3 brick high module for my train station, since it was at GATS in Novi Michigan back in January. This project is for the July GATS show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as part of the MichLTC (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Modified LEGO race train motor (it's a screamer)

(...) Good luck with the race. With a motor like that, it looks like you could be sweeping the competition. We were chatting about Railracers at our last club meeting, and I perused the site, but I couldn't find any info on the length of the (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: BrickFest Train Room Reservations, please check

Tom & All, Well, if it is any help, we will be bringing our MichLUG tables to BrickFest for my display, so there is a little help. If we need some more tables, I may be able to bring some. Tom, please e-mail me when you get a chance. Scott S. -- (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: BrickFest Train Room Reservations, please check

(...) The big downside of this is that it becomes (significantly) more difficult to take good pictures of the layout, and to really appreciate all the details in everybody's constructions. It might be nice to use the tables as much as possible, (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.events.brickfest)

  What about track/layout modelling?

Hi, For now I have seen some great engine/cars models made by the train community. I am wondering why there is so little on modelling of track and realistic layout. I want to make a somewhat permanent railroad/layout (which should be operated by (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains)

BrickFest Train Room Reservations, please check

The 9V Train and Town layout will be in a room with 3' x 20' for static displays and 25' x 38' for the layout (there is also a smaller second room for the 12V, 4.5V, and more static displays). Since there will not be enough tables for everything, I (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Modified LEGO race train motor (it's a screamer)

I finally found a victim to be a part of my mad scientist scheme to become the first modified class Rail Racer(TM)[ (URL) ] engine. I have taken a 9V train motor and removed the standard electric motor inside and replaced it with an oversized (...)
