  Re: Pics: 0-6-0 Steam Engine

Wow, what a wonderful work! You must be a proud ol'man to have a son with that much talent. That's as good if not better than many AFOL train MOCs. BTW: How come none of us ever built a chain driven train before, or used a combo driver wheels (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: We Did It!

Yeah you did! I can't wait to see the pics! Any idea of how many people were in attendence. I can imagain that a GATs in a large metro area like LA or NY could be 5x what we get in the smaller cities. Although we're all eager to see the pics, take (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Help required

Just a few notes about the playmobil tires. They do fit around the large red wheels. (not the small ones on 7740) Sorry for the confusion. I have fitted them on my 4-4-0 that uses these wheels and they seem to work good. Maybe even to good, now my (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Well, it vaguely resembles just about any "safety cab" road switcher of recent vintage from EMD or GM. But only vaguely as it's pretty short. The radiators (at the back) look slightly more EMDish but not much. (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train MOC

(...) I like it. In the first picture you show, it looks kind of squat, but I see that isn't the case with the others. I like how you have the starwars electronic plates behind the doors.   We Did It!

After many, many months of getting people to join in, planning and building, Southern California REALLY DOES HAVE A LEGO TRAIN CLUB! Our participation at this weekend's GATS in Anaheim, CA proved to be very successful and we came out with a first (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Pics: 0-6-0 Steam Engine

I'm really quite impressed with this. Now, if it were a 0-8-0, it would probably look more like a "real" loco than my Caribou that is downstairs! Please congratulate your son for the good work. (Caribou is a 0-8-0 3.5" gauge live steam engine-I joke (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jan-02, to lugnet.trains)
