  Re: Page update

Love your pyramid! I remember making pyramids around the time King Tut did his American Tour. Yours is much nicer (bigger better doorway) than anything I made back then. The buildings are nice too, but the pyramid made me smile. Chris (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Thalys and Hondekop Pics

Eric, I'm really impressed with your models and ideas as well as your presentation of them. I'm sure I'll learn a lot on your site. Out of curiosity, how do you pronounce "Thalys?" Is it a hard "th?" Is the "y" pronounced like an "i?" "A" as in (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Thalys and Hondekop Pics

(...) I just tried to count how many studs-long is your Thalys 2 locomotive. My count came to 42. Is that correct? later, James Mathis (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 4559 (was New MOC:TGV in Orange)

Chris, I agree with others about 4559, it's a great set for parts. I used a good deal of the parts from 4559 to build my 4-4-0 steam engine as seen at: (URL) excuse the poor picture quality, I haven't updated the site in a while. And, BTW, I'm a (...) (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: New MOC:TGV in Orange

(...) I really need to get some pictures of my re-build of the 4559 engine (using parts from 2 4559 and 2 5542). I also need to get back to train building and finish the rebuild of the cars. This set is a lot more useable than it would appear. (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Ideas for signal crossings

(...) TLG actually has a blinking light element. The 1x4 brick with 2 lamps lights solid with one polarity, and blinks with the other (I happened not to notice this when I built my 6979 Interstellar Starfighter, but when I was oohing and aahing over (...)   Re: Train table construction and securing track

(...) I've had to deal with this in my roundhouse. (The 'securing track' part not the 'scenery below track level' so much.) Near the turntable, I've used the screw holes in the center tie to keep the rials aligned near the turntable itself. However, (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.trains)
