Well, not signals for level crossings, but signals for signal towers
and signal bridges. :-)
Check http://baylug.org/zonker/ZSignal.html for the basics of this
'work in progress'. I've done one mock-up, and then received some tips
for simplifying it from a LUGNET reader, which I've investigated, but
I haven't built yet.
I'd guess that you could use the simple timer circuit there to drive
a pair of LEDs for the 'wig-wag'-style signal as well. :-)
