Re: Converting 220v transformer to 110v

(...) Not much at all. If you are using 1A at 12V, it is 12W, or about 1/100th of a average circut's capablity. (at least, approximately) I doubt you are going to come close to overloading ANY normal housewiring with a normal quantity of lego or (...) (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains)

Matthew Gerber wrote in message ... (...) That looks very cool, Matt! I think I wouldn't bother with the periods between V.L.T.C though, just put VLTC. (...) Do you mean moderating? I'd hate to think of all of us as oddities put on display for other people's amusement <grin>. What are the responsibilities? Any ideas as to time commitment? (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Cool but I was thinking more of a polar bear myself. The colour scheme needs a tad bit of work too. Green and yellow? Eww... Good first try though! Dean (23 years ago, 10-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

Re: Converting 220v transformer to 110v

(...) That wouldn't be so bad if I can get a euro power strip so I can run 2-3 transformers. I didn't want to buy a step-up transformer for each train transformer. Another question: How many amps do the LEGO transformers draw? Since I live in an (...) (23 years ago, 9-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Converting 220v transformer to 110v

Okay, guys and gals, here's a question for you electrically inclined folks. I have a couple 220v transformers (#7864) that I really can't use since my house is wired for 110v. One of the transformers has a removeable 3 prong UK plug (instead of the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Nov-01, to lugnet.trains)
