  Train Questions

I'm thinking of adding a new section to my Lego collection... Trains!!! I can see great potential in a Space / Train / Mindstorms cross-over. So my question is - Monorail vs. Standard - What's the -real- difference? I know that a while ago Lego (...) (23 years ago, 24-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

  4561 for cheap

hi, I have seen that people have bought 4561 sets for only $25 bucks at some stores Mint in the box. Does anyone have just the 4561 Train for sale? I just need the engine car, and the two passenger cars. Thanks. Joe (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: more GMLTC 'teaser' pictures

(...) Yep, it's the 'sand red' bricks, with grey and black highlights. (highdarks?) Ricky used a bunch of the bulk packs that I bought - before I even had a chance to use them! <pout> I think I'll ask him "how are you going to get my bricks out of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: more GMLTC 'teaser' pictures

(...) The tall building in the back, does it use the 'sand-red' bricks? I whave been wondering what they looked like, the shop.lego.com pictures look too pink for my taste but in that building it looks great! Is there a set that uses that colour or (...)   Re: New Train Structures

The grain elevator/silo is 64 bricks high (just over 3 feet). I just started with a baseplate and worked out a circle as best I could and then worked my way up. I believe it is over 6000 bricks, but I didn't count. "MARK PETERSON" (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question regarding train motors and regulators

(...) These questions really need to be in the FAQ (or are they there already?) (...) Only on a truly huge layout will you need multiple controllers to keep a reasonable speed around a loop. (...) The primary factor is length of track and wiring (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Question regarding train motors and regulators

I am looking forward to receiving my Metroliner and club cars but am still new to trains. Since I have two of the Railway Express sets (which are only good for parts as far as I'm concerned), I have both extra speed regualtors and motors that I can (...)   Re: Engine Shed

(...) Whew, now there's a cool car... Yeah, i figured yours was modeled after one over there. I'm thinking more Stateside here, but yeah from pictures i've seen it kinda reminds me of them too... Josh (23 years ago, 22-Aug-01, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)
