Hi All, While at LEGOLAND we found that there was a stand selling bulk LEGO pen elements. These happen to have a stud on top and "tube" on the bottom, they are a "step" bigger that a minifig head. However they're not an even multiple plate height. (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.legoland.california)

I took about 90 photos at the showing and requested Picture CD service. In the meantime, I'm picking up the 1 hour prints today and will go through them to post a few on Brickshelf this afternoon (best guess, 3:00pm pacific/6:00 eastern). Steve, (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Point well taken James, but i think we should look at it another way also. Trains don't exist in a vacuum, the town and environs really set the time period and overall look of the entire layout. When non-train or lego buffs see the layout (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

James and All, (...) Well, I am talking from a MichLUG view, and the layouts I have seen at the shows, and of the various clubs who have had pictures and the like up. I don't think you can have an effective layout without some kind of scenery. If (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

This is EXCELLENT! Our long wait is over! The GATS sounds like a good start to me. I got a look at the new web design in the works and thought it was great. Adrian BTW, I made an interesting call to SAH this week. If you have a backorder placed (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc)

(...) Interesting question! I'm not sure how to answer it, though... As the GMLTC (slowly!) works on its new layout, we're building a lot of buildings for our 'downtown' area. Are we putting a lot of effort into them? Yep - but we put a lot of (...) (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

(...) Thanks, the second one worked, great model they've got there. I like how the unloading bays look, kinda reminds me of the Huge Iron Ore Docks here in the US (great lakes to be exact). Josh (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)
