Re: Reed sensors are not working very well (or too well?)

I know this has been covered in the past, but can you point me to info on the reed switch used and implmentation notes. Thanks I'm working on a ping-pong line for a trolley and I'd like to try reed switches. I've had troubles with light sensors and (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc, lugnet.trains)

Re: Reed sensors are not working very well (or too well?)

(...) I had the sensor in the center of the track on the bottom. Didn't work too well. I've since asked that it be moved to the side where it can be triggered via the side. I'll be doing testing today on that. Dean (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc, lugnet.trains)

  Re: MOC Relaunch: Rheingold cars

Adrian, Very nice! I attempted a Rheingold coach too, but mine are much simpler. I couldn't get the stripe across the top of the windows or a recessed door (I guess in 8 wide it could work). I was a little constrained by brick availability, the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

What is the most common color used in our train MOC's?

I've been doing a lot of LEGO® web surfing over the past week, and of all the colors we use to create our trains- we seem to find red the most agreeable. Can it be that red is an ominous color that gives our 'big' engines size? Or is it a plainly (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  MOC Relaunch: Rheingold cars

(...) <snip> (...) I don't think it's a big concern. Odds are if several clubs are getting together to do a layout, each group will have it's own area (if only for ease of setup/teardown).
