Re: Yet Another S@H Catalog Observation

I've seen the decoders for $45 by themselves...even with (...) The cheapest on the Digitrax site are $25 USD a pop. I would imagine that they cost $12 or less a piece. Most of what is contained on a decoder can be embedded on a single chip (a la (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) you got a point there Lawrence... the My own train didn't have any motor...however DCC probably will only please the real Train Hobbiest....most of the "new" train enthusiasts that have (or will have) started collecting trains probably won't (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Fuel Tank / Barbette

Hi everyone, I recall someone on .trains or .michlug oy veying over the problems in building decently "round" fuel tanks. I've been working on my latest ship, which includes a raised barbette facing aft, and I think I may have stumbled on a SNOT (...)   Re: Ambassador train for the PNLTC layout at LEGOLAND

(...) I think I can hack a way around that! (we may be able to get our car to Brickfest after all) I have till Friday to architect a solution, ne?. It may involve sending packaging inside the box. My original box was going to be priority mail (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Ambassador train for the PNLTC layout at LEGOLAND

I don't mind sharing the cost of FedEx'n the cars, but the only problem is the return trip. I think Dan was planning on using the original package to return each car, if I send them all in the same box then Dan would have to find a box to ship each (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Ambassador train for the PNLTC layout at LEGOLAND

(...) Regretably, MichLTC won't be bringing ours. The thing just got built last nite and isn't married to its stickers yet, which are in a different state. Logistics would be challenging, I suspect. However I would ask, can other groups use your (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Ambassador train for the PNLTC layout at LEGOLAND

Is anyone else taking their Ambassador cars to Brickfest? I'm trying to see how many different events around the country I can get our NGLTC box car to visit. I've actually started making little stickers to go on the back of the car that list the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) it may not even be DCC, maybe its a little smaller, or more economical... or even designed to allow DCC to be added to it. I'm beting on a smaller one, that'll allow you to make a dummy truck for the oppisite end that looks the same. Josh (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)

"Benjamin Medinets" <bmedinets@aol.com> wrote in message news:GG1rwy.Iou@lugnet.com... (...) But surely the point is that the My Own Train DIDNT come with a motor. So, yes it is dependent on a motor, but NOT the current 9v one. Lego could now (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.trains)
