  April Fools Day is coming

To All, Warning: April Fools Day is one week away. That means you should expect to be fooled by someone on April 1 (Sunday). Be prepared. And keep in mind that the Internet spans 24 time zones; a post made by someone early in the morning in their (...)   Re: How will Ben top last year? (summit talk?)

Well I'm not under any sort of agreement that limits my thought processes so here goes: Would I be right in thinking that the train summit recently held didn't have much to do with Lego Train items at all? But that it was mainly aimed at using Lego (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: How will Ben top last year?

(...) Well, are you SURE you participated in the FIRST LEGO Train Summit? Perhaps yours was the 2nd... :-) :-) :-) Frank (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Signs, Signs, everywhere a Sign

OK, OK before this gets out of control....yes it was just a joke, and was really more of an inside joke with me and one of my fellow club members, not really meant to be a joke to fool the LUGNET community, even thought I used the newsgroup to carry (...)   Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) This engine is a super job well done. I have a couple spare 9V train motors on sale if you need them (email me for details). As for the prototype BR52? This was known as the 'Kriegslok', or 'War Emergency Engine'. Built on the direct orders of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Not bad. Not bad at all. Very nice indeed, actually. Is this pre or postwar? If prewar I can see it figuring in some Brikwars action nicely. ++Lar (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A Whole New Breed of Tank Car

(...) Tom Cook did a similar version last year using parts from 4561: (URL) (1) I'd also like to say that I like the look of the detail on yours. It just implies heavy-duty filtration. Neat. -chris 1- sorry for breaking out of tom's frames. check (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: How will Ben top last year?

(...) Swallowed what? Those *were* product plans... I just never figured out how Ben found out about them. (Remember the meeting last month? er, ah, I'm under NDA and so are you. Never mind. It was an April Fool's joke. Trust me.) ++Lar (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: A Whole New Breed of Tank Car

(...) Cute, but it's been done (by Lionel in the 1940s) and it's called an *aquarium* car. Now make it explode. :-) Lionel never did that. Seriously, i like detail. And de-tail in this car is neat. All of it. ++Lar (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 7745 Question

(...) With my 7745 (owned since new), my red/black slope panels were all right, but I received some extra parts (not the small variety either) but was missing some others (such as all the 10*1 red plates) Regards, John (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

I just posted pictures of my German 1930s/40s BR52 Steam Locomotive on Brickshelf. It was my first serious train undertaking: (URL) interesting points: - it's minifig scale[1], which makes the engine 41 studs long - I arrived at this length by (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains) !

A Whole New Breed of Tank Car

Hi all, I posted pics of my first train MOC ... it's a little light-hearted something for NELUG's upcoming train show. It's not really grounded in "reality" or "rational thought", per se, but I consider it the next generation of tank cars. Yeah, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 7745 Question

(...) My two 7745 sets are baught as used sets and have been correct built up like seen in the instruction. Both have each two mirrored printings on those 1x4x3 thin wall parts. Regards, Ben (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  7745 Question

Hi fellow Train Heads, Here is a question for you that some bright spark may be able to answer, or not, as the case may be! I have just aquired my fourth 7745 and I am a little puzzled as to the red/black 3x4 thin walled panels in the set. My first (...) (24 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)
