  Re: Green line pics

(...) Yeah, by rights, if you were modeling standard gauge (4' 8 1/2" between the rails which is almost exactly 5 studs, so about 1 foot to 1 stud), then you'd really need to build your trains *10 wide* (10 feet is about the typical train car (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Future of Belville

(...) Just 'cause the toys would be in Belville scale doesn't mean that it'd have to be designated Belville by name. But it's not like it couldn't work as a sub-theme. Oh, and by the way, I had trouble posting a message to Belville and Dear-lego, so (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.castle, lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Harry P. Movie Trailer / Hogwarts Express Train

(...) Whoo-hoo!!! Awesome! It's gonna take every ounce of patience I can muster to avoid going crazy while I wait for November 16th!!! Forgive me, please, but I'm more eager to see the movie than the Lego sets! However, its not by all that great a (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Green line pics

(...) Yep, I'm quite the anal retentive nerd when it comes to minifig scale measurements: (URL) despite all that, I still usually go by 7mm = 1 minifig foot, even though 8mm (1 stud) is still reasonably accurate and also allows for more detail... it (...)   Re: Green line pics

(...) You da man;-) I have obviously restrained myself from flogging the merits of 8 wide here, partially due to the fact that I feel my work in that area may be finished:-) Once, I was a lone voice in the wilderness, but now that more and more (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Green line pics

(...) I thought about this a while, but didn't discover any nice way to do it, unfortunately :( Anyone have any ideas? (...) Yeah, I tried for quite a while to get something rotational done, but try as I might I either wound up with objectionable (...)   Re: Green line pics

(...) Thanks! :) (...) No, your instincts are right on :) It's too tall for minifig "scale" I think (although I think if you go by minifig side-to-side width then it's fine (but that makes minifigs something like 4'6" or something)) It's actually (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Green line pics

(...) nose? :-) I see you went 8 wide. I have struggled and struggled to do these in 6 wide but the center articulation has always got the best of me (I was trying to do something rotational, you took a sliding approach, which, while not (...)   Re: Green line pics

(...) Wow, great model. The "my first model" announcements are getting better and better; this one is definitely great! Only comment Isn't it a bit tall, or does it look just fine with minifigs? It is "minifig scale", right? Comments about comments (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains)
