Well I'm forward to meeting a lot of AFOLs and train folks, seeing how the NMRA
Train show at Cobo Center in downtown Detroit is only 12 miles from my house!
:-)
Great work Jonathan! I'll be sure to bring my camera!
One other builder who will be represented there, and doesn't post too often is
Jim Garrett, who has built some of Detroit's spectacular Art Deco office towers.
During the 1920's Detroit was 3rd (after NYC and Chicago) in the number of
1920's office buildings.
Looking forward to the NMRA!
Cheers,
Gary Istok

| (...) Thanks, Gary! (...) Yes, I am looking forward to saying hello to Jim again, myself. We met last year at NMRA in Philly which I was able to attend for a few hours one day. His buildings are really remarkable to see in person. Best, Jonathan (18 years ago, 26-Apr-07, to lugnet.town)
