Hi all, I just updated my web site for the St. Lego Fire Dept. Stop on by at (URL) and let me know what you think thanks Tom D (25 years ago, 27-Apr-00, to lugnet.town) !

  Re: Arctic Posting??

Why do you say there probably won't be any new ones? I agree a BIG expedetion boat would be REALLY cool! jake (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Arctic Posting??

(...) There probably won't be any new ones, excepet for maybe some small promotional sets. However, a large ski plane or expedition boat would be really nice. (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Arctic Posting??

Todd, I just saw some previous posts about adding the Artic newsgroup and how it might be overbearing if you were to do ALL the sub themes. Makes sense. Answered my own question. So does anyone know when/what the next Arctic kits are expected to be? (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Arctic Posting??

Thanks for the heads up! So can I put my bid in to make this it's own newsgroup? Jake (...) (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Arctic Posting??

(...) It's not actually a newsgroup -- it's just (currently) a category on the website. --Todd (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Arctic Posting??

Does anyone know why I can't post a new message to the Arctic newsgroup? I noticed that there aren't any messages in that newsgroup at all which seems strange to me. Please let me know. Thanks! jake (25 years ago, 26-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How do a build a mountain?

Glad you liked it Brendan. I know that some people prefer a "pure" LEGO mountain (so would I, but I'd rather use the limited bricks I have for other projects), I modeled it after a mountain that was on the cover of a S@H catalog I saw a few years (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How do a build a mountain?

(...) WOW! Now that is a GORGEOUS mountain. I mean, no offense, but I wouldn't paint a mountain yellow. However, if that was brown, gray, and any other color it would look absolutely perfect. I'm sure it's extremely easy for you to describe it in (...) (25 years ago, 22-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How do a build a mountain?

(...) You are so close to the dark side now.... I think you have been hanging out with rich too much recently... I propose any mountain on the club layout will be pure bricks and burps. -Chris (25 years ago, 20-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  "Coupe Revenge"

SPINCO car design has introduced a new concept to the hot topic of the 6-8 wide railroad cars. Well we have went above the standard 4 wide car & created the "5 WIDE COUPE REVENGE". Towns people have been quoted saying it looks like a larger VW (...) (25 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How do a build a mountain?

(...) ...you used clone bricks!!! The horror!... Hmmmm, but better than defacing real bricks... and besides, the whole thing isnt 'pure' anyway. ...But seriously, I like the mountain. I've seen the pics before and had done a similar thing for model (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How do a build a mountain?

We have a Styrofoam mountain in the NGLTC layout. Its made from the sheets of pink home installation, Great stuff foam and a thin layer of sheetrock putty (for texture). Also a few clone blocks were added as rocks to the mountain to give it some (...) (25 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Huge House

Where did he get all those round-pillar 1x4 railings?? !!!!!! The Parthenon roof is nice. But I have to worry about anyone who chooses Linda Tripp to build a model of. I would have tried Catherine Zeta Jones. Paul Sinasohn bearitone@my-deja.com (...) (25 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

  Huge House

I was looking at Terry Cruse's site when I saw this huge house: (URL) construction pics are at (URL) along with the best navigation links for this confusing site with great models. Alan (25 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: please help id: 1x2 "police" brick

(...) Ugh, a public apology for the way these links turned out. I've corrected them above (I think). (...) the mixed lot of parts. I have a feeling that I've probably extracted all of the complete or nearly complete sets from this lot, but it's (...) (25 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: please help id: 1x2 "police" brick

(...) After a bit of investigating, the only set I know of to have had a 1x2 White brick with POLICE printed in black would be set 6522. There may have been other sets with this piece, but I could find any. (URL) Salm__ (25 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.town)

please help id: 1x2 "police" brick

In a batch of eBay winnings[1], I found a single 1x2 police brick. The printing looks like that in the police station from 1979 (best seen in the instructions at (URL)), but the rest of that set isn't there. The font is smaller than the one used in (...)   Re: MOC: 1959 Cadillac Eldorado

(...) people don't _have_ to use transparent pieces for the windscreen -- sometimes they simply clutter the model more than needed in my opinion. I don't believe all those parts exist in pink, though! ;-) As for scale, I'd say the vehicle is more (...) (25 years ago, 16-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  Re: '59 Caddy Hovercar Raytraces

(...) That's exactly what I did. I don't have any six wide windshields, so I constructed one: (URL) (25 years ago, 15-Apr-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)
