  Re: DSNY Streetsweeper

(...) Thanks! I had thought about the mirrors but hadn't tried anything. I was concerned it would look silly with something there in place for them. But, I guess I won't know unless I try. I like your suggestions and will give them a shot. Thanks (...) (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: DSNY Streetsweeper

(...) Outstanding! Great solution for the brushes. About the only thing missing are the mirrors - how about a (URL) frying pan> stuck in a headlight brick on the left and a 1x2 tile jammed into a (URL) clip> on the right? Marc Nelson Jr. (URL) (...) (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: DSNY Streetsweeper

(...) Once again some lovely work, Jonathan. All those angles are very nicely executed to give it a highly realistic look. Tim (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.town)

I was recently inspired to take a closer look at a DSNY Street sweeper and this is what I have come up with: (URL) Thanks to Sid Dinsay for sending me the two missing slope elements.   Re: Local snack-bar

(...) Actually, when I was writing my previous, I was a bit in doubt what type of bench to advise: one with hinged supports and plate ore tile beams, or the type I wrote about in my post. You've found a nice combination of these two ideas, and (...) (18 years ago, 24-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Local snack-bar

Ok, I changed the bench and accordingly icreased the size of the base of model. I didn't redo the bench quite in the way that you told me to, but I actually like this version, so I hope you do too: (URL) The back end of the bench only sits on 1x1 (...)   Re: Minifig-scale sports car

(...) Yes, the snot work goes in all four directions on this one. In fact, the wheels are schleimed facing down due to the 1x1 slopes used as wheel wells. Speaking of which, with all of the wheels that Lego produces, you would think they'd have the (...) (18 years ago, 24-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Minifig-scale sports car

(...) It's got VROOM. Schleimin' nice curves on the front. It appears to have overgrown its wheels a bit, but no biggie. But an automatic???? Meow. (BTW good to see you in Philly) JOHN (18 years ago, 24-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
