  Minifig-scale sports car

I built this last week and posted about it in another thread, but I never did actually 'announce' it. So here it is--a six-wide two-seater with the top down. Click the pic for many more shots.   Re: Local snack-bar

(...) Thanks for your compliments. The bench is just supoosed to be a bench for people to eat their snacks on. It's actually more decorational, just like the original bench (all my friends who live here and have seen my pictures argued with me that (...) (18 years ago, 21-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Local snack-bar

Thank you all for your very positive comments, I really do appreciate them. (...) I actually wasn't all that happy with the bench, but I couldn't come up with anything better that would still fit the scale, so thanks a lot for your advice. It sounds (...)   Re: Local snack-bar

Hello Robert, It's a nice model, with a good level of detail for the scale you've chosen. I would consider to make the bench besides the back door six studs long, and model its shape with brown grill tiles, in order to mimic the very narrow beams (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Local snack-bar

What a cute building! I think that's a great choice of prototype, Robert - small, characterful, and a few non-rectangular features to make it an interesting challenge to build - and you've really done a good job of catching the character. I (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Local snack-bar

(...) SNIP That is one great MOC! If that is your second "pretty" one then you're doing just fine. I like the roof, and the SNOT on the back is pretty cool. I'm guessing that's a bus stop on the side? Keep up the good work, Jeffery MacEachern (4 (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Local snack-bar

Hi everybody, this is my second post on Lugnet and I haven't really introduced myself yet, so I thought I'd do it with a little MOC I made with the Ldraw-tools: (URL) It's a model of a local snack bar that has been around since 1921 (if you want to (...)   Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

(...) Of course you can trust me--I'm from the government. What? OK then, here's a picture as proof. (URL) (...) Oh, but it's a topic that I find endlessly fascinating. It all boils down to two things: The fact that the dimensions on a minifig are (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

(...) Very great Trucks ! I think this Truck was build by JuergenL ( member of www.1000steine.de ) I realy would like to see some more detailed pictures of your "blue-tractor-truck" to rebuild it. A picture of the bottom of the truck and maybe some (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) Thanks! (...) Exactly. Pierre (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

(...) Thank you Jonathan and Fred. There's no steering mechanism, the wheels are just posable. Here's the trick: (URL) You'll need to add a 2x2 plate underneath to make it more sturdy. "gm" has made a 6-wide truck with steering mechanism: (URL) So (...) (18 years ago, 18-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

(...) (snip) (...) Thanks. I've seen the following semi tanker before, and it's where I got the inspiration actually. (URL) I have no idea who built it though. All I know is that is was displayed in a show in Germany. Pierre (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

(...) Pierre, you never cease to amaze me with the amount of detail you pack on all your town vehicles. You will be the source of inspiration (i.e. a person to copy from) for vehicles if/when I build my own town layout! -Bryan (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

Great models in a great folder! (These 5 models are not the only reason to follow the links) And I'm wondering about the wheels of the landfill compactor. Are they attached using the chain link/link tread 3873 on a gear wheel? Andreas (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

I had not even noticed hat it steers! Is there an actaul steering mechanism from a wheel of some sort on the body of the truck? Perhaps you have to move the wheels by hand. It's so tight I can't tell. (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

(...) ((snip)) (...) How long will it be before the Lego company realizes they should turn one of your MOCs into an official set? It would be like a license to print money. -Steven (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: More vehicles

(...) Hi Pierre, Amazing stuff, as always. Love the fire truck. Love the fact that it steers. That one thing alone adds so much to the picture. Excellent. Also I really like the landfill compactor. Excellent color choice for it. I have been a fan of (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
