That’s pretty cool! It’s an interesting vig - a little more of an absurd situation than Joe normally gets in, but good. I like the Time Twisters dishes on the snail shell. Thanx for using my design - nice to know people like stuff the I’ve done.
All I did was to turn the (black) 1x1x1 brick with stud on all sides so that it’s true top stud points up. Then, I added 2 of these panels for stability:
This makes the base 2x2 with one stud on each side (to attach the mailbox sides). Because the lowest level is now studs up, it is the perfect height to have the attached walls clear the studs on the baseplate.
Good idea - I thought of that, but I don’t think I have any panels like that in black. I’ll have to check further. I guess the studs in front would probably obscure most of the black around the bottom anyways.
I used a roof tile on the back, and a 1x2 tile on the front of my mailbox. Thanks again for the great idea!!!
I didn’t use a 1x2 tile because I didn’t want the door to open to far, and I also liked hiding more of the hinge than a 1x2 would do. All the same, it looks good. Way to go!
