This is my latest creation - small, but pretty cool, if I do say so myself. I’ve made it for the VLC’s Show in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. If you’re in the area, please drop by - check out the Surrey Museum website for more info.

Here’s a pic of the mailbox - pretty basic. You might notice that there are studs on the bottom - I’ll have to work on that, but at least you can still mount it on a baseplate, just not actually connected.

Now it gets slightly more interesting - the mail slot opens:

After quite a while of fiddling, I got it so it would hold three Lego envelope tiles (which I unfortunately don’t even own) :) Here’s a view with the sides taken off:

The LDraw file (if you need it) can be found at the BS Folder.

Enjoy, and please leave your comments,

Jeffery MacEachern

It's so hard to make a working anything in fig scale that a castle fan like myself will come out of the woodwork to compliment this 'newfangled' contraption ) God Bless, Nathan Visit my brickshelf gallery: (URL) (pic=link) (19 years ago, 18-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

...Well, maybe NOT resolved, but it works for me!! I really liked your idea, Jeff and decided to try it out. The result is included in this "Joe Vig" vignette: (URL) All I did was to turn the (black) 1x1x1 brick with stud on all sides so that it's (...) (19 years ago, 23-May-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
