Town on wheels (was Re: Millennium City)

Sanjay D'Souza wrote in message ... <snip> (...) Has anybody actually done this? I was wondering how to make a large city (other than to stop turning my Lego room into a nursery) that was completely accessible without being a huge doughnut. Not (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Belville parts in town buildings - Silly? No!

I've often scoffed at LEGO sets aimed at girls. They always seem so cutesy and like the pieces wouldn't fit well with other LEGO models. I remember the Paradisa sets. I thought they were so silly. Now, I would kill for them. Paradisa pieces are VERY (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.town)

Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital also NON existent Exxon Station

(...) Ok guys here is another one for you! The NON existent Exxon Gas station in the 1984 U.S. Catalog! It looks like the 6371 but the tow truck has fatter tires and the car is yellow! Also here is more trivia. Look at the Exxon #6696 tanker (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Feelings over 2000 sets . . .

I think that LEGO's point is to reduce the piece count to make it easier for children to put together. Actually, I have a love/hate relationship with the juniorized pieces. On the one hand, they do reduce the complexity (bad), but on the other hand, (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Car inspired by "Muscle Cars" of the 60's and 70's

I've made some more ray-traces of variations of the car featured in the wallpaper I posted: (URL) can see them here: (URL) you can see, the doors and trunk open. The interior is fully detailed with steering wheel, instruments, gear-shifter, door (...)   Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital

(...) Actually, I have to correct myself. Sets 1496 and 1497, the Rally sets, were sold in US stores, but as part of value pack 1509. An MISB 1509 just sold on eBay for $76.00. I was bidding on that one, but considering the fact that 1496 and 1497 (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Mark Herzberg wrote in message ... (...) 1992, (...) Ummm...I always assumed that Town sets beginning with 1XXX were only sold via S@H. Maybe that explains why they aren't so rare on Ebay. On the other hand 1490 and 1484 have seldom appeared. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: The Mystery of the non existent Hospital

(...) The 1682 Space Shuttle was sold in US and Canadian stores from 1990 to 1992, though S@H still had it at the begining of 1995. I bought mine at Tuesday Morning in 1994. (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Feelings over 2000 sets . . .

(...) Wauugghh! Yah, you said it! :-( I saw an MOC the other day which did use these (in white, from old Futuron sets and more reently in a Divers set) and they looked *SO* excellent there. Maybe we'll see a UCS MF with these in gray! (drool) --Todd (25 years ago, 2-Mar-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.starwars)
