Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) Thank you Larry! (...) Ya, I see. Also in Japan, it's a little difficult to see the "smart". We love the design of it, but our country has too much sloped roads for that cute engine. (...) I'm strongly impressed when I went to Deutchland, many (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) Thank you Pedro! The idea of the back-glass was given to me from my LEGO-net friend. I'm very pleased with this idea that matches my smart well. Kotaro/EARL-0 (URL) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: 1592 - the story continues

The new Egypt variation is great, as is the New York City one that went up after that. My favorite detail in the Egypt one is the statue that has become some Egyptian god. I've also got to make that chariot some day. It's such a simple yet nice (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) My impression? I'm impressed. Canned cuteness! Love it. SMARTcar has not caught on here (too many 2000 kg SUVs on the road for it to be very safe) but I saw lots in Switzerland... you captured the essense even if not the curviness. (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

Re: [MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

(...) I like it a lot! The back-side detail is very neat, my personal favourite in the car; the back-glass and bumper look fantastic in that configuration. Congrats for yet another cool design! Pedro (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

[MOC][TOWN] smart. A cute partner of your urban LEGOLAND life !

Hi, all. I've just built my own "smart" model, so let me introduce it to you, please. (URL) course it can host one-full minifig. We can imagine and build many color scheme variations. Please let me know your impression. Thanks! Regards. (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Rare brick models

Well, with another visit to Legoland Windsor coming up, I thought it was about time I showed some pictures of what I've done with the rare bricks I picked up at the last one. So, first up is a non-train actually. It's some light-blue and some 1-wide (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: 1592 - the story continues

Wow...what a saga! :-) So when do I get to see some variations of 1593? I guess making Town, Arctic, Egyptian, Wild West, etc., etc., etc. variations on an ugly spaceship is somewhat implausible, but if anyone can do it, they're reading this now... (...)   Uploaded pics of my WTC under construction

All: These pictures are from Oct 2001, when I began my 2nd version of the WTC. The plan was to build a 5x5 foot plaza, the surrounding roads, and all of the buildings in the Trade Center. The new pictures start on the 6th row, in the middle of the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: Brickfest Pics: Two Cranes

"Larry Pieniazek" <lpieniazek@mercator.com> wrote in message news:GzqGCF.EsI@lugnet.com... (...) non (...) Indeed so, the crane moves surprisingly quickly and smoothly given its mass and size.   Re: Brickfest Pics: Two Cranes

(...) That looks like the TJ I saw getting my big box off the luggage carousel... And the crane base looks like the one I helped re-assemble while waiting for Lindsay to emerge from the I-95 traffic mire... So I would say you score two for two there (...)   Re: Brickfest Pics: Two Cranes

(...) Ah-Ha! My crane has been spotted. Yes, that's me and my beast. I'll try and get up a few pics of it tomorrow. I'll let ya know. I had a good time letting people "drive" it (like Larry, as he said). It was good fun. I had an even better time (...)   Re: Brickfest Pics: Two Cranes

(...) It's him and it's his crane. That thing is pretty amazing. It uses some non LEGO(r) (notably the remote control and a few other bits) but not much. I got to drive it! Way cool. (22 years ago, 24-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.technic, lugnet.town)

  Re: Brickfest Pics: Two Cranes

  Brickfest Pics: Two Cranes

Hey everyone - I didn't take many pictures at Brickfest this weekend, cause I was too busy checking out all the awesome MOCs and chatting with friends old and new. One thing I did take pictures of was Jennifer Clark's amazing Demag crane, with my (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.technic, lugnet.town)

Re: New Pics for Sliding door MOC.

(...) Still, it's very innovative. Thanks for the update. (...) Good point. However, it wouldn't need to do so. You could put a plate hinge on the top of the door and have it simply hinge to the side. The other "runner" on the top would be on the (...)
