Is that back bumper piece Lego?  I've got a very similar piece that's some
clone brand (got it in an e-bay lot).

Yes, it is.  I only have 2, they came in "Amazon Crossing".  (see
http://guide.lugnet.com/set/6490 ... they're at the base of the little
bridge.)  I remember when I got it I thought it was strange, since "normal"
slope pieces could have been used in the same place.

Hmm.  That's an interesting piece.  the slope/stud arrangement is more like
those curved slope pieces:

That's a cute set, too.  I particularly like the aligator munching on the
bones of some past explorer.  :)

I'm pretty much a "purist"... (I feel bad enough about using the silly-putty
to attach the badge to the grill of the truck!) :)  ... but I don't buy Lego
"clones".

I'm not hugely opposed to clones, but I would also never intentionally buy
them.  I bought a set of "Lego vehicles" on e-bay and was a bit miffed to
find that one of them was a clone brand (and another one was glued!  ick!).
I have these pieces in my collection, but rarely use them as they're in a
non-Lego color and I only have a few.
