Re: 2nd annual TOWN building contest - early warning!

(...) I'd like to see it be just "new" (non contest entered) things. I think that should be reasonably fair? I have something I might enter...but, it is not truely "new", although I have only started it again this year. James P (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

2nd annual TOWN building contest - early warning!

Last year at this time I organised a Town building contest which turned out to be a lot of fun. I'm gearing up to do the same thing this year, beginning Feb 1st, so I'll just letting all you townies know that it's coming up (now you've had a chance (...)   Re: Tanks! Trucks! Fire Engines!....and a couple of vans. New MOCs

(...) Yes, it is a 5 wide base on the front, and 6 in the back. That is pretty much standard of what I have been doing for the last 5 years for comercial trucks and ambulances (see my other brickshelf pages) although with the 2 "older" forestry (...)   Re: Tanks! Trucks! Fire Engines!....and a couple of vans. New MOCs

(...) Wow! that is some wrecker. There are a few big ones around here, but I havent seen any as 'crane-like'. They are more like the one in the movie 'Heat'. Just big & intimidating. Very nice. I like the cab on the blue & white semi & trailer. Very (...) (23 years ago, 19-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

  New MOC: Yellow Hopper Truck

This is a 6-wide semitrailer hopper truck with opening engine compartment, removeable trailer (the kingpin isn't as realistic looking as Bram's, but the scale is closer to correct), and the hopper doors under the trailer open and close. Pictures on (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: Brickley Admiralty building - another ISCC entry

(...) By the way, has anybody noticed that the bottom third of the skip lorry cab is built upside-down? Lego don't do 1x2 inverted slopes in orange, so I had to improvise. It's the brackets and silver grilles on the front, and a 1x4 technic steering (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jan-02, to lugnet.town)

  New MOC: Legoland Cafe

I bought a bulk LEGO lot on eBay recently and it included a number of rather old LEGO pieces, including some pre-printed bricks I'd never seen before.   New town MOC: Children's playground

This could be an adjunct to an elementary school or park area. Equipment includes a slide, merry-go-round, seesaw (a.k.a. teeter-totter), and a couple types of climbing bars.
