Re: 1370 Raptor Rumble Studio: thoughts

(...) I personally like the new dinos. While they aren't as good looking as the Adventures ones, I think they have greater potential for other stuff. Along with the Studios sets there are new dinos in cans like Bionicle. The new T-rex looms much (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Re: dacta hospital

(...) Hmm, sound more like a challenge than a problem Benjamin. Have you tried creating your own medically looking stuff? Lot's of lights and tubes and things hanging all over the place. I'll try to create an operating room and see what I get. They (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.dacta, lugnet.town, lugnet.general)

Re: New fire hall almost next to old one?

(...) Seen it done in real life. Sometime a building is too historicaly important to just mow over, so the ywill build a new one and sell the old to anyone who want's it. Here in Chicago an old fire station was turned into a rather successful bar. (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: dacta hospital

(...) I was wondering if you <or anybody> who has the set would be kind enough to scan the "idea cards" so I can have an "idea" of whats involved with putting together the medical equipment....and there's a lot of it...I am thinking with the right (...) Plane? You're confusing sets. The plane is in 1371 Spinosaurus Attack Studio, not 1370 Raptor Rumble Studio (...) -- | Tom Stangl, iPlanet Web Server Technical Support | Netscape Communications Corp | A division of AOL Time Warner | iPlanet Support (...)   New fire hall almost next to old one?

I'm building my build for my hobbie store, and was thinking of making it look like an old fire hall, but the problem is that the new fire hall is right next to the property, does anyone think this would look strange? Josh (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: 1370 Raptor Rumble Studio: thoughts

I do believe they are trying to expand the possibilities of what you can make from them. Yes they look different than the adventure dino's and castle dragons, but it is nice to see Lego tyring to expand playability rather than constricting it. James (...)   Re: 1370 Raptor Rumble Studio: thoughts

(...) Can you describe the plane more in detail. Like what other plane parts does it have? Does it have one of those plane control panels or just a flight stick? Also is the construction of the plane just like previous passenger plane sets? -Tim (23 years ago, 14-Jun-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: 1370 Raptor Rumble Studio: thoughts

(...) The new dinosaurs, with the bodies built either from bricks or from the two highly specialized body pieces, are far more posable/reconfigurable than their counterparts in Adventurers. As 1370 is part of the Studio line, with which you are (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  1370 Raptor Rumble Studio: thoughts

I receive this set last week. The raptor and pterodactyl dinosaurs are built mostly from bricks, with a head and tail piece. I think it is a bit odd that it was done this way- ever since the first castle set, they have made animals out of (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

New MOC: 8 wide custom hatchback

After reading (URL) I was inspired to build the ultimate rice-boy hatchback. (URL) rice burner is loaded: lowered; chrome, extra-wide rims; chin spoiler; side skirts; giant spoiler; extra-wide fenders; racing seats; pinstripes; racing stripes; (...)   Re: Fire Engine Moc

(...) Aaron....I so very wish I did...maybe if I ever get around to putting them together or having someone with a digital camera....<hint...hint> come and take pictures of each station with its equipment. Right now, I have 2 stations put (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

RE: New MOC: 8 wide VW Beetle

(...) Too steep, yes. Too high, no. It is taller than the fenders. I raised the lights and front bumper one plate, which helps a little bit. I'll post pictures later. --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu (URL) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

Re: New MOC: 8 wide VW Beetle

New MOC: 8 wide VW Beetle

While I was sorting, I came across arches and couldn't stop the fenders flashing through my head without building a Beetle at the same scale as my other cars. As always, the doors open. The front seats fold forward to let passengers into the back. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jun-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.announce, lugnet.modelteam) !!

  Re: Just curious.........

  Re: Just curious.........

(...) How about a SkyCrane, or a UH-1 Huey? Maybe an AH-1 Cobra, or a KIOWA , or even a BlackHawk, or SeaHawk (US coast guard uses that too)? I'll stop for now... Josh (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Just curious.........

(...) Personally, I think the C-47 is kind of boring, but it would be pretty cool to see an HU-16. It's similar to the old Boeing 314 Clipper, which is one of my all-time favorite aircraft. Maybe I'll take a whack at it one o' these days :^) ~Grand (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)

  Just curious.........

Hey all. I was wanting to know, has anyone in here on LUGNET ever tried to make an HU-16 Albatross or a C-47 Skytrain out of Legos? I'm about to build one or the other, but after I can get the parts :-) If anyone has, please E-mail me pics of it and (...) (23 years ago, 5-Jun-01, to lugnet.town)
