Re: Amusing Review of 2963 Extreme Racer on Amazon.com

(...) Speaking of which, has anyone done any MOC's of the Pernese? Moving out of LEGO realm, has anyone heard if there any plans for movies from this series of books? Steve (24 years ago, 21-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.fun, lugnet.fabuland, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

Re: Amusing Review of 2963 Extreme Racer on Amazon.com

(...) Uh, you're welcome, I guess. I do think of them as an exotic piece, if they were "imported" from another line, I guess that explains my gereal feeling of non-System vibes when I see them. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike them (I did buy (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.fun, lugnet.fabuland, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

(...) Well, that would bring the lugnet.fabuland up to 262. :-) So, Thank you, Eric! [and Thank you, Steve for calling this to my attention.] Have I managed to kill this Thread yet? (...) Thank you Selçuk! It is nice to hear someone just say the word Fabuland... 3 weeks or more since it has come up and even better to hear it get credit for the origin of an element. [especially one described as *exotic* and *weird*. Two very (...) (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.fun, lugnet.fabuland, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

(...) They can be found on older race type sets (Diesel Daredevil, Screaming Patriot, Eagle Air Show) but it is originally a Fabuland piece. Selçuk (24 years ago, 20-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.fun, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.general)

Re: Nilo Lego type baseplate 12"X32"

(...) Similarly, Block-Men (the design quality of whose sets cannot be understated) has 32x44 stud baseplates in dark green, light grey, and tan, the latter of which is a surprisingly good color match for LEGO. Dave! (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.town)

  Nilo Lego type baseplate 12"X32"

I hope you don't get too upset that I post this to Town, however I thought that this baseplate would interest the town folks. I came found a green baseplate 12" X 32" at a toy store yesterday. One side is Duplo compatible and the other is regular (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.town)

Re: Expanded Main Street scene and Commuter Rail Station

(...) I think I have a train that would go nicely with the station. I plan on expanding the fire station in my scene as soon as I get a few of the red half arches that I won on e-bay. Hopefully before the show. (...) My scene has gray sidewalks, (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

Re: Motorcycles vs 3 wheeled bikes

(...) I agree 100%. I just got the Dacta Community Workers set as well and I threw the trikes in my junk bin right away. These things are awful but my guess is that LEGO and/or kids find them more playable because they don't fall down all the time. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Motorcycles vs 3 wheeled bikes

(...) I couldn't agree with you more. I really miss the old motorcycles and I wish Lego would bring them back. C'mon, how about an alpha team set with a motorcycle? J (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Expanded Main Street scene and Commuter Rail Station

(...) I agree that Grey would have been better but the black is OK. I don't consider all the black tiles a waist however because if they come out with Gray tiles in bulk I will probably do my roads with black tiles with Gray sidewalks and do away (...)   Motorcycles vs 3 wheeled bikes

Hello All, This is something that has been bugging me for a while but it came to a head when I bought my Dacta Community Workers set. Why did Lego change from the motorcycle to the 3 wheeled bike? It seems like such and odd choice to me but they (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.town)

Wow Eric, It is hard to believe that this model can keep getting better. You'd think that you would eventually max it out. :-) This is just fantastic.
