Re: What is a mech supposed.........

(...) lot! Well if you really want to brush up on your animated mech history, check out a cartoon called Gigantor (Tetsujin 28go in Japan). Keep in mind this is as far from gundam wing as you will ever get and still contain giant robots (Think Iron (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: What is a mech supposed.........

What critera are used to determine if a robot is a mech or not? Does it have to be used for war? Does it have to be big? Does it have to be humanoid?   Re: What is a mech supposed.........

Mechs are a Japanese idea -- "what could be cooler," asked one of them once, "than big humanoid robots that can fight battles and stuff?" Since then, Japanese anime (animated TV and movies) has been full of them. If you've never watched any, you're (...) (24 years ago, 22-Oct-00, to lugnet.town)

  What is a mech supposed.........

What is a mech supposed to be? Did "Mechs" come from a TV show or something? I don't know a thing about them besides they're pretty neat looking. I never heard the name "mech" until I looked it up online. Can someone PLEASE tell me all the things(or (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.town)

  HTO Town sets sighting

In the Pharma Plus drug store in the Zellers mall in Lindsay, Ontario, they have two HTO sets (and some RoboRiders, but they are pretty common). They are in plastic display sleeves that are designed for a set to be pulled out from the bottom. There (...) (24 years ago, 21-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.town, lugnet.announce)

Re: Coast Guard Station: What's your take on this?

Looks to me more like an Oilrig in the middle of the ocean. For interests sake it's kind of cool the way Lego made a European version (369) with yellow coloured vehicles, and an American version (575) with US Coastguard style colours. Nicholas Allan (...)   Coast Guard Station: What's your take on this?

575 Coast Guard Station was my first modern town set. One thing that never seemed quite sensible about it: is it supposed to be out in the middle of the water, or on some kind of pier? It's built more like a standing oil platform. At least the (...) (24 years ago, 20-Oct-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.aquazone)

  Rock Raiders people.........

Rock Raiders people make great pilots! I took the girl RR's body, the helmet of a Hoth Trooper, and added a blue visor to it. It looks sort of like a C-130 pilot and a fighter pilot mixed together. I would advise any RR's body except "Bandit's" and (...) (24 years ago, 19-Oct-00, to lugnet.town)

Thanks, I have to admit that I got that idea from someone else who used it on their trains stations. Does anyone know if LEGO actually makes those gears in tan?
