  Re: Classic era damaged windows/doors.

(...) That sounds like a great idea...can you advise as to what particular paint you use? How do I determine the ABS from the CA? One of the problems that I have with my classic window is that the clear panes are often scratched. Have you ever (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  American Soccer recruiting

Sorry if this is the wrong group, I didn't know where else to post this. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but the recruiters for the American soccer team has been working overtime. Looking at the poster included with the latest mania (...) (25 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: How many Lego® posters are there?

(...) This thread is pretty old, but...... Hi Brendan! The oldest LEGO poster that I am aware of is from 1975-76 and it is for set #396 Thatcher Perkins model locomotive, a very attractive 1863 locomotive. The building instructions for this big (...) (25 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Lego piece with studs on top and bottom

(...) I just use Technic half-pegs with stud end to "create" double-stud bricks. It works well. best Lindsay (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

  Classic era damaged windows/doors.

Anyone who has LEGO from the early classic era (1957-1977) probably has old windows and doors that are either faded, discolored, pitted, without glass, or old faded Cellulose Acetate (the red windows are almost orange in color). Well I came up with (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: Lego piece with studs on top and bottom

(...) I'm in the purist camp. But if it feels good to you, do it. Don't worry about what other people think. Just take the good natured ribbing from people like me in stride. Myself, I'd give away the broken parts, not throw them away. But then I'm (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: Lego piece with studs on top and bottom

Fredrik Glöckner wrote in message ... (...) I found that a lot of my older 1x1 plate-with-light-holders broke, so that I had many of the light holders without the plate. They were great to use in MOCs to reverse stud direction, but was this an (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Re: Lego piece with studs on top and bottom

(...) But this is a rather large part. The 1x1 plate with "light holder" can also be used in the same way: The light holder has a hollow stud on both sides. But you're stuck with the 1x1 plate sticking out on the side, though. Fredrik (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)

Lego piece with studs on top and bottom

Hi, did anyone of you ever notice that the front planes wheel -I mean the 2x2 plate with a lower wishbone and one wheel - has studs on both sides? This means that if you turn it 90 degrees, you have a piece with studs on top and bottom. (please (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.town)
