Jonathan Lopes to display on TCLTC Layout for ILTCO Convention (was: Re: Manhattan's Engine 14)

(...) Sure, but first, great work! The BBB wheels nail that arch design nicely! And here is a pic of you and Ross so graciously posing in front of it (they both protested greatly after I kept (URL) taking pics of them together>:-) (URL) Well, for (...)   Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) Yes, it is quite fun to see personal growth as builder. I am glad I never deleted my older brickshelf galleries. With regards to the prototype trucks. They have sliding doors and steering wheels on each side of the cabs. Most of the time I see (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Evolution of garbage (truck)

(...) Hi Jonatahn, Nice design study. It's always fun to watch iterations of a model. I dig the latest one although worry a bit for the safety of its passengers (presumably prototypical). One aspect of it bugs me. The 1x6 tile beneath the windscreen (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.town)

  Evolution of garbage (truck)

Hello, Over the long holiday I decided to revisit my garbage truck and use the newish large wheels on it. I thought it might be fun to look at how my garbage truck has evolved over the years. Version one, from (appx) 2000 or 2001 (URL) two, from (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Manhattan's Engine 14

Hello, I have completed yet another NYC firehouse. (URL) This one from 17th street in Manhattan. I had walked by this firehouse many times and always thought it had way to much detail to be recreated in Lego. I guess it would help if I had a picture (...)   Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) Depends... I usually work from original building plans and LOADS of pictures. I try to do most things to scale, which keeps me from making huge mistakes :D (...)   Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) Enjoy? I sure did! Nicely done... funny as it seems, I think "modern" (at least for me) is very difficult to pull off well (in the brick). Do you have your next building already picked out??? Janey "Red Brick" (18 years ago, 2-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town)

  Re: Tugmaster

(...) Oh dear. I've obviously offended a fan :P (...) (URL) First renders> are allowed to be catastrophes :) (...) Yeah. But I never like to do the common versions.   Re: Tugmaster

Hi Tim, very nice tugmaster! But "oddity" is not fair :-) It reminds me to my very first Ldraw project (and my first rendering, which was a catastrophe): (URL) Only the colour red seems odd. The really cool tugmasters of the really cool tug drivers (...) (18 years ago, 1-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Minifig Scooter

Well I'm no townie, and have no use for a scooter, but this is still a pretty impressive design! Very nice work indeed! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 31-Dec-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Finally online : Cafe De Unie

(...) I used mainly stacked plates and bricks... there's a bit of SNOT to get the Window row fall back ½ stud, the rows right of the window are jumper plates and plates, held by invisible technic bricks.
