Re: GAZ-M20 Pobeda now with MPD

(...) They imported Soviet cars to the US? ;) It's the right era and let's face it, it 'borrows' a lot of US design elements. And now that you've reminded me of your Diner again I have to repeat how much I love it. I've uploaded the (URL) MPD> if (...) (18 years ago, 30-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: GAZ-M20 Pobeda

(...) Nice. Would look good outside my diner, I think. (URL) I am going to put it on my vehicle list . . . Thanks! Jonathan (18 years ago, 30-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  GAZ-M20 Pobeda

So, after doing a Gallery (Klaus Dobisch as I've since been informed) style Soviet plane I've decided to move on and mimic another German builder. So here is my Pobeda in the style of (URL) misterzumbi>. Of course I also made it smaller... five-wide (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

Tim that plane looks awesome!!! I hope you create more planes like that. I am amazed at the amount and the diversity of LEGO models that you produce! - John "Tim Gould" <t.gould(AT@)lancast...c(DOT.)uk> wrote in message news:J4KCJC.IFF@lugnet.com... (...) (18 years ago, 26-Aug-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Local snack-bar

Well, I have finally gotten all the missing pieces together and finished building the actual model, so here it is: (URL) MOCpages: (URL) Brickshelf: (URL) I had to make some changes due to little mistakes I didn't notice in the digital model but was (...)   Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

(...) Appparently, it does cover both up and down in aeronauctical terms: (URL) I guess I always took it to mean down for some reason. (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

(...) That is a big droop! I thought dihedral was upwards toward the tips, or does it cover both up and down? The Sopwith Camel was always described as having a noticable dihedral on its lower wings combined witha flat upper wing to give it a (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

(...) Wow. That plane certainly needs some Viagra(tm)... I didn't realise they drooped so much. Might be time for a version 2 I think (ps. replied to your other post at jlug). Tim (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

(...) Actually I was referring to what could be called the "wing droop" as shown in this photo: (URL) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

--snip-- (...) Thanks. Do you mean the teardrop cross-section (my first plane and I have no idea of the terminology)? I tried to capture it a bit but with the limited range of wing parts available I didn't get it quite as much as I would like. (...) (...) (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

(...) Doh! I forget to ask you if you had any plans for making or if you could work on a Tu-95/Tu-142 Bear bomber next? Now that could even win some contests I bet... (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

(...) This is a great looking rendition - you have captured the feel of it nicely imho! I believe the real world plane has a noticable dihedral for the main wings which I imagine might be a tad hard to show here (or is it just the limitation of this (...)   Tupolev TU 104 Passenger plane

Hi all, After being inspired by seeing the work of BS user (URL) Gallery> in real life at 1000steine Land (can someone fill me in with his name, I never caught it) I decided to combine his size and style of old-fashioned passenger plane with my love (...)   Re: new moc: Western Auto Building

(...) Mark, Are you from around the KC area? We are taking part in the train show at Union Station Sept 24th and would LOVE to have your model as part of the display. Details are in this post: (URL) -Matt (18 years ago, 25-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Large Tropical Hillside House

G'day all, Been ages since I last posted any MOC stuff... I recently built a house for a competition (hence the size for mobility and we were only allowed to take one picture). The house has 5 levels and consists of a Master bedroom with Parents (...) (18 years ago, 24-Aug-06, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.loc.au, FTX) !!

Re: new moc: Western Auto Building

(...) (URL) (...) Matt, Stunningly beautiful, and very realistic! I love the Western Auto building, and have thought about building it in Lego everytime I drive by it. You have captured it with Lego as well as I could have ever imagined it - and the (...) (18 years ago, 23-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Bodville update

(...) Thanks for the kind words. The AFX Lego Racers exceeded our expections. I have found copies of my pictures on German, French and Japanese forums, which is very cool. At Malkara 2006, in two days the lap timer recorded over 2500 laps. Anyhow, (...) (18 years ago, 21-Aug-06, to lugnet.town)

Re: new moc: Western Auto Building

Snipped (...) I collected for over a year off Bricklink, so not to drive the prices through the roof. The average price was probably around $.50. The building would really look more accurate if I had used white doors, but that would have been REALLY (...) (18 years ago, 21-Aug-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
