Re: NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

(...) Thanks, champ. Graininess was post production (an HSV noise overlay to the image). It's a lot quicker than trying to render it that way. The red light is also touched up slightly to give a bit more glow to the surrounding region. I suspect a (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

(...) Very nice render. Beautifully lit. Was the graininess part of the post-processing work, or did you achieve that in POVray too? a (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

(...) I think you need a (URL) and/or a (URL) in there Tim What, no .dat file for them? You were wanting to do some part creation ;-) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

(...) Very nicely done, Tim. I appreciate this and your many other fine MOCs you have been showing off lately. This is fantastic. And for those who haven't clicked on that picture to see the subway scene, DO IT! -Matt :) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

(...) Though I've never ridden the subway I get the impression that this is more representative of the 80s rather than the current, much improved version. I've read in many places that the Subway is now much cleaner, better and more comfortable than (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

(...) I like it a lot. I think the style is representative of the real thing. I think the platform should be a little wider, but other than that. I think you've gotten it nicely. I actually noticed this on Brickshelf yesterday and made it a point to (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

NY Subway station: Welcome to Hell

Hi all, I was finally persuaded to build a station to go with my NY Subway train. (URL) I think it makes a nice contrast to my earlier (URL) Moscow Metro> station. Comments, questions and suggestions welcomed. Tim PS. This represents my first render (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Re: Carriage House --2nd town contest entry

(...) Sorry for the late reply. I am off line on the weekends. . . This was my previous submission: (URL) It suffers from the same (lack of) picture taking technique, unfortunately. I think there was a link that was suggested to be for the entries, (...) (19 years ago, 30-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Mobile Command

Hi Steven Brilliant as usual! I really like the tractor and the part of the trailer that slides out. I think what I miss most is ... MORE PICTURES! :^) I am still anticipating the launch of your website - I am teasing but also hoping. Keep building. (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Air Tractor

Here's something a little alternative. The AT-802 Air Tractor. Used in crop spraying, firefighting amongst other things. It is also my first successful float plane build. (URL) I am thinking that it might suit a Heliport by the harbour kind of town (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Dirk MacGrean in his Dark Green racer

(URL) As dark green probably is the closest to britsh racing green this must from Great Britain. As I am working on another racer in ordinary green I have chosen to give it a Scottish driver, Dirk MacGrean. It's not modeled after a specific vehicle. (...)   Re: Mobile Command

(...) SNIP (...) WOW! I saw this on Bshelf the other day & was floored. What piec(es)did you use for the chrome fuel tank on the cab? I've been impressed with all your Lego apperatus' MOCs for a long time, & this ups the ante on the caliber of your (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Mobile Command

I finally finished work on a new (URL) mobile command> center for my Lego fire department.   Re: Small town building reference

(...) Thanks! And thanks for helping me with protocol - I know nothing about this stuff. Time for me to get reading up on BrickWiki. Peace and Long Life, Tony Alexander (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

  Re: Small town building reference

(...) And thank you for adding a link to it on your page. I've added a link back to the page to provide credit. Since BrickWiki is meant to be more of an encyclopeadia it is unusual to credit the information provider but since I nicked the (...)   Re: Small town building reference

(...) Tim, Excellent! I like your link organization (AFOL/other resources) better, and love the idea that anyone can add their own link! I did think it important, though, to credit those who provided 'other resources' links as much as possible, as (...) (19 years ago, 28-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
