I like it a lot. I think the style is representative of the real thing. I think the platform should be a little wider, but other than that. I think you’ve gotten it nicely.

I actually noticed this on Brickshelf yesterday and made it a point to really pay attention and look for trash and newspapers on the subway ride home last night. I was thinking that maybe I am just oblivious to it and accepting it now that I’ve been riding the subway for 16 years. Happily, I noticed none. Without a doubt, late nights and weekends the subways have more trash in them, but otherwise, I say: clean up your MOC. :o)

Jonathan (who just got off the subway and into his office and now is taking off the red suit with pointed ears and putting the pitchfork away until the ride home) ;o)

Though I’ve never ridden the subway I get the impression that this is more representative of the 80s rather than the current, much improved version. I’ve read in many places that the Subway is now much cleaner, better and more comfortable than the London Tube. It was designed from pictures and my memory of how films (usually from the 80s) portrayed the seedier stations.

To add to the then and now issue, I suspect that quality of the Moscow Metro and NY Subway have probably swapped from my pictures. I’ll bet the former is probably a lot dirtier than it was in the 80s while the latter is much cleaner. Let’s call them historical MOCs ;)

As for the platform, I think it should be wider too but I had to sacrifice accuracy for visual effect since a wider platform would have meant the picture would show less of the details.
