have a look that all of thise units are much bigger than technic motor
so I think that lego has to think about positioning and bearing the axle
notice that inside the new lego technic motor there is some gearing
so outgoing shaft is really short and maybe lego has some kind of problems
using bushing
as you can see here
http://library.brickshelf.com/scans/0000/0872-2/0872-04.html
the geared bushing at the bottom is very long and it is not in the same
direction as main shaft
maybe it was hard to solve this problem for lego
there is one more thing i'd like to add to the new motor
some pin-wholes
because lego is going to reduce studs it would be good idea
