Continuing to work on the Building Instruction Portal, I have fixed a few
bugs, added a few features, and planned a few more. I have included a few
details on these updates towards the bottom of this post, if you are
interested. Thanks to everyone for the terrific suggestions. I will work on
those as soon as I can.

First, however, I wanted to answer a few Frequently Asked Questions about
the site. If you still have questions, please drop me a note and I will add
them to the new FAQs section on the site.
-- How do I use this site? --
In order to use the site, simply browse through the categories to search for
links to building instructions. These links will take you to the owner's
site, or building instruction home. Be sure to rate each instruction you
build, and perhaps even write a review as well!
-- Can I submit my own building instructions? --
Absolutely! The purpose of this site is to be a one stop location for all
the LEGO building instructions from around the Web and around the world.
That will only happen if you and other LEGO Enthusiasts submit their
instructions!
-- What format(s) can I submit my instructions in? --
You are free to add a link to any Web site or Web page that contains online
only instructions, .ldr/.dat/.mpd files, PDF files, photos, or any other
format. So long as somone can click your submitted link and get enough
information on how to build your creation!
-- Is this site affiliated with The LEGO Group? --
No! This site is 100% independent of The LEGO Group!
-- Are submissions moderated? --
Currently, Category suggestions are checked by human eyes before they go
live. Links are live immediately upon submission, and removed after the fact
if need be.
-- What does "Your own original work" really mean? --
It means any work that you made, or have the rights to. Please don't submit
someone else's work, or work you don't have the rights to submit.
-- Why can I only submit my own work? --
This resource is strictly "opt-in", meaning content only shows up on this
site when its owners want it to. This ensures that people who don't want
their work to appear here don't have to see it here because someone else
submitted it for them.
-- I haven't made any building instructions, but I still want to help out.
How can I? --
Even if you don't have your own instructions to submit, you can still help
this open directory project. If you see that someone's instructions aren't
part of this directory yet, be sure to drop them and note and point them to
http://www.bricksonthebrain.com/instructions to add their instructions!
-- How do I get started making building instructions? --
There is lots of great tutorials and software at http://www.LDraw.org.
Download it quickly and you will be making instructions before you know it!
-- Does the site require Javascript? --
The site does not require Javascript, but in order to make sure that folks
are agreeing to the Terms of Submission, users must have Javascript (or have
it turned on) before they can submit links or categories. Hopefully this
will change in the near future, as I switch to server based verification.
=====
And on to the updates!
