I got it too, I spent 9 hours strait putting it together on the living room
floor(intermixed with a few 5-10 minute breaks to do other things)
the steering is a little stiff, but what I'm wondering about is in the rear
drive- the main transfer of power from the transmission to the
rear differential is 2 small bevel gears!! it puts a lot of strain on them
sometimes.
anyone got any ideas where to mount a motor to power it so that it will run
all 4 wheels? I've had trouble finding a place.

| Well Santa brought me an 8466 4x4 Off-Roader set. It is an impressive set. I've only built bag one of EIGHT! and I'm already blown away. I was wondering if anyone else thinks the steering and power is a bit stiff? Everything was working very smooth (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-01, to lugnet.technic)
