I'd like to see a Remote controll interface for the RCX that has a little
touch pad simular to manual control box found in the Technic controll
center2 and the one with the mechanical Tyranasoaurus (forgot the set
#'s)you know the Yellow round North- South -east - west motor control pad,
the existing RCX remote is kinda difficult to controll a model pushing the
little < > buttons.
Plus we need individual channalization to independantly controll multiple
RXC's (and for you smarty's I know there are ways around this but evan so)
I'd like to see a better U-joint, I broke about a dozen while building my
Red Robot. I ended up trying worm gear assymblies on both sides of the
u-joints inorder to carry the weight, but the size problem got in the way,
so I ditched it.
Maybe a 7 stud axle and maybe a length that exceeds the current longest axle
too.
yes some lift arms with teeth would be sweet.
An Anti-backlash Gear. (see thread) http://news.lugnet.com/robotics/?n=14851
A worm gear that is a little bit longer.
More pieces that are used in rotational situations made from material
lubricated at the molecular level. oh the chaf!
More and longer rare threaded axles.
Maybe axles that use a "Carter Pin" system.
A Technic Turntable that does'nt pop the top off under strain.
Or can't be pryed apart.
z24's without an axle grab at the center, like the z16's.
Small light wieght "Lego" recording device with speakers. to be used with
Mindstorms. ie... RCX motor port A on - device plays sound file.
(and for you smarty's I know Vision Command does a simular task)
How about another 4WD steering knucle.
True Lego produced Sound Sensor.
Availibility of RCX colors.
How about Speech regognition for the RCX. For simple motor control or script
initiation.
How about Lego made from Aero Gel?
All of this stuff would be great, and I have a feeling that in the future
we'll have it anyway, time will tell, so will our skills.

Thank you.......

| The threads discussing what new mechanical functions and what new sets we would like in Technic has got me thinking about elements that are logical progressions of existing ones but that don't exist. I often find myself after a version of the 3/4 (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.technic)
