  Motor-powered 8880??
 
I know I asked this question a bit earlier this month, but it was in a message specifically on modified 8880's and I thought a more descriptive title might get more response. Has anyone ever added 9-v motors to an 8880 and gotten it to move? I have (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Right on. Not only that, but the transmission on 8880 is designed to have the motor pushed by the wheels. If you want it the other way around, you'll need to "reverse" the transmission/gear box as well. A bit simplified, you can say that at (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic)

(...) The simplest way to do this is to add a reduction before (or after) the gearbox. I agree it's not a beautifully methode, but is works . An other option is to switch the input- and outputaxle's, so the mid-differential is linked to the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic)
