MIBO...(holy smokes look at those turrets) —Jeff Small
so I'm looking over (URL) to sort of see what it's made from (GREAT robot by the way, I know it's old news to most of you, but it was my first time...heh) and it suddenly struck me how many turrets that thing takes... wow, I count, like, 6...man, (...)      (...) Wow...that robot looks neat (first time seeing it for me too). Anyway I think you can get a 2-turntable pack for $10 USD from the Pitsco site. I think the Technic sets that included this element were 8074, 8094, 8443, 8446, 8460, 8462, 8480, (...) (23 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: MIBO...(holy smokes look at those turrets) —David Arnon
(...) I can see 7 turn tables (one for the head), 2 RCX bricks (even more expensive) which implies up to 6 motors, 2 Rotation sensors, about a hundred chain links, and ... 16 think rubber bands/tires (on it's feet - I don't think I have that many (...)          Re: MIBO...(holy smokes look at those turrets) —Jeff Small
oh...my...gosh... I didn't even *notice* that it used TWO rcx bricks...I was mistakenly seeing it as an rcx brick turned sideways...wow, I'm DEFINITELY not going to be able to make one of those soon...fuggitaboutit... "David Arnon" (...) (23 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.technic)

Mibo is the most exciting model I have made. I was not able to copy Jin's model exactly, but I sure enjoyed trying.         (...) I remember that when you first published those shots I wondered where you got a white turn table from: (URL) me a while to understand it was only the flash reflected from a gray one. Oh well... - David (23 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Hmm... I know next to nothing about the book. From what I've heard, its in Japanese - Tamy Teed would know more about it, she ordered one. We used instructions exclusively provided by Jin for the event. -Tim (23 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) OMG - 5 rotation sensors?! how the $#%& am I going to get 5 rotation sensors (here in Israel...) ? No touch / light sensors? And, by 'normal motor' do you mean the new geared motors or the old fast motors? - David (23 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.technic)
