Re: Any Ideas= 8448 and 4 wheel steering?

I figured out 4WD/4WS two years ago :+) It also has a working differential so that when one wheel gets off the ground, the other will still get traction. Check it out: (URL) this model does not do, but could easily have, is a differential between (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Well, I did it for good looks, but now I'm glad i did! Whew. Not sure how long that wouldv'e taken me to figure out. I finally mounted my t-block engine and the two-speed auto tranny to the rear assembly. And darned if it dont all work! (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 4.5-volt Technic motor

(...) They were about as fast as the standard 9V motor, but less powerful. To move larger models you needed the 872 gearbox set. It wasn't the voltage that gave it so little power... the 12v motor (as in 880) is just as strong (or weak) Also there (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Technic Aeroplane

  4.5-volt Technic motor

Just wanted some information on the old 4.5V motor that was used in Technic models until about 1989 or 1990. It appears that the 8050, 8054, 8055 and 8700 sets coame with this type of motor. What is the general rotational speed of it? (is it really (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Hi, My technic aeroplane can be viewed through the link on my LEGO page: (URL) has working extendible flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, joystick, and six cylinder rotary engine.   Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

(...) This is something I'm just now getting into. There are quite a few things I found. Pneumatic switch and pump: (2 URLs) r/c servos with the RCX (Remote switch): (URL) limiting switch: (URL) acting compressor: (URL) pneumatics reference: (URL) (...)   Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455? too much crane

(...) Oooops. Just realised how bad that sounded, Jennifer!! I didn't really mean it like that!! ROSCO (in tail-between-legs mode) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

It should be simple enough to do, too. Just a solenoid controlling a valve piece molded into a piece of plastic, and with a power attachment on top of it for the control pulses. It might require a bit of fiddling with on-neutral-off settings, maybe (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)
