Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455? too much crane

(...) Duq: Too much crane Already! Sets: 1) 955 2) 8854 3) 8868 4) 8443 (?) 5) 8460 Don't you think it's enough? I think so. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: 8880 Pleasure.....

(...) I agree - to a point. I was disappointed with the chain drive to the engine, as it occasionally slips, though this can be reduced. The main thing that disappointed me was the steering geometry. Because the racks are psitioned relatively high, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.reviews, lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

I think it's time for TLC to do a mobile crane with a 3-piece boom. I've been at it for a few weeks now (okay, I'm quite ambitious: I want the boom to get 1meter high) and it's hard to get it all right. Anyway, this would be the functions (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

Re: I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

It would be nice, i wonder what the 8455 will be, has anybody hear the rumrors in loc.au? that there may be a Technic Jet fighter come into the series? I have seen this motor grader before somewhere , did it come from a 850/950 manual or on the box? (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

I think it's time for a motor grader! Future 8455?

Hello Lego Technic fans. Since the 1997 front end loader (8459), lego hasn't offered a large construction technic set. I think it would be a good idea to make a motor grader: 1) Pneumatic blade control 2) 4 or all wheels drive 3) powerfull engine 4) (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: G.I. needs help...

Re: Force, strenght, did anyone ever measure?

Cool! That's an impressive machine! I was actually thinking about using 2x2 8t gears, but I don't have the room in my model (And I've run out of racks too). Encouraging anyway, I'll do some testing this weekend (and probably post a picture of the (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Striking Lego Clock

I've written up a better description of my clock on my web page at: (URL) has an avi of the striker in action, but the actual version in the clock is much improved. In the avi it rings like Bingdingdingding!, and in Clock #2 it rings like (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.technic) !

Re: Force, strenght, did anyone ever measure?

My model (link below) uses elevators with a double rack and double drive axles (four z8 pinions). I have tested it with a payload of 36lbs (more than enough for a complete scale-size Saturn V). By my calculations, thats 40N per elevator. The rubber (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)
