I really do like the miniature Supercar, and I know exactly what you mean
when you say you can't figure out the workings since you built it a year
ago...
It was interesting to read the bit about printing out plans of a model to
the right size and using them to build on; up 'til now I've done that with
my computer monitor, but have recently acquired a printer which should save
dragging the model over to the computer screen every time I want to check
dimensions.
You mention that the compressor for the bipedal walker was too weak to power
the model properly, but I've managed to build some pretty serious
compressors, albeit with several motors. The one for the excavator was
powered by two old style 9V motors, and is capable of producing a pretty
good flow of air which is powerful enough to blow the hoses off the
cylinders if you set the pressure cutoff point too high. I've actually found
that the old 9V motors are superior to the new 9V gear motors when it comes
to compressors... I suspect they are actually more powerful in general cases
too.
Thanks for the link BTW!
